The work conducted by this psychologist is ultimately aimed at improving the mental health and/or physical health of Veterans at elevated risk for suicide and/or their families or communities. The Suicide Prevention Coordinator (SPC) serves to facilitate implementation of suicide prevention strategies at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC).
