Social Worker is assigned by the Chief of Social Work Service at the Salem Veterans Affairs Health Care System (Salem VA HCS) in Salem, Virginia to positions in Medicine and Surgery, Primary and Specialty Care, Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Extended Care, Homeless Service, Community Based Outpatient clinics within the Salem VA HCS. Salem VA HCS is a level 1C facility with five associated VA Clinics. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education: Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this re
