The incumbent, an Advanced Practice Registered Respiratory Therapist (APRT), has overall responsibility for the supervision, monitoring, and delivery of inpatient and outpatient respiratory care services in practice settings beyond the traditional scope of the Registered Respiratory Therapist. The APRT will support local and VISN 5 clinical operations within designated medical center(s) throughout the Veterans Affairs Maryland Healthcare System (VAMHCS). Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
