MHP - Trueblood Jail Diversion Prgm.
Position Summary & MissionThis position provides direct clinical services to clients and may provide Mental Health Professional (MHP) supervision to non-MHP members of the Trueblood Jail Diversion Program (TJDP). The MHP conducts mental health screenings, assessments and advocates for participants. With the goal of promoting engagement with the mental health system, reducing recidivism and when appropriate, working to reduce reliance on Emergency Rooms and the use of both medical and psychiatric inpatient hospitals. Develops participant Re-Entry Plans and coordinates with jail mental health and other County departments on release and communicates plan to other TJDP members. Provides attorneys and the court with release plans as requested. Refers participants to other services
