You Will Be Responsible For:
Uphold and model AdventHealth Mission, Vision, and Values.
Provide spiritual and emotional support through visits to patients and families on assigned units.
Document all contacts with patients, family, staff; maintain AdventHealth/HIPPA confidentiality standards.
Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospital employees using the AdventHealth Spiritual Ambassador Model.
Assist patients with completion of Advanced Directive documents.
Serve as Pastoral Care liaison on the Interdisciplinary Team per Director request.
Serve as AdventHealth pastoral liaison to patients’ personal pastor and/or faith group when requested.
Assist Director through involvement in community activities, including but not limited to community ministerial associations, health fairs, and related outreaches.
Respond to Code Blue and crisis situations as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Other duties as assigned to represent the Pastoral Care Department internally and/or through community engagement.
What you will need:
Cultural and theological understanding of varied Judeo-Christian and other faith world faith traditions
Ability to articulate AdventHealth mission, vision, values within context of Seventh-day Adventist faith, heritage, and traditions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Exposure to CREATION Health model
Exposure to AHS Spiritual Ambassador mode
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
B.A. and/or AH Spiritual Ambassador training.
Minimum completion of 1 unit of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), OR 1 year healthcare-related chaplaincy experience; OR, 1 UNIT Spiritual Ambassador Orientation AND 1 unit Introduction to CREATION Life Principles
