This position is located in the Behavioral Health Service Line, Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program. The incumbent will be the senior clinician on duty for the weekend and will provide support to Admissions, crisis evaluations, weekend groups and other needs. Clinical Responsibilities: Provides a full range of diagnostic and evaluation services, especially in the areas of general psychological evaluation of emotional and behavioral problems and suicide assessment Provides a full range of psychological interventions consistent with training and expertise, with special emphasis on evidenced-based treatments Provides evidence-based treatments to Veterans individually or in group format with appropriate documentation and measurement of effectiveness and Veteran response using clinical judgment and standardized assessment instruments Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic recovery plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders. Performs clinical administrative duties including scheduling of Veterans, returning Veterans' phone calls and secure messages, writing reports, and attending organizational meetings If unlicensed, participates in ongoing supervision with the goal of obtaining licensure - Participates in ongoing professional training and experiences. This duty is met through workshops, intra-VA assignments, and distance learning Provides clinical coverage for absent staff members, as deemed necessary by supervisor Adheres to national and local performance measure expectations, including timely health care screening and completion of clinical reminders for all patients Adheres to all electronic health record documentation procedures, including timeliness standards for documentation and proper Veteran check out procedures (e.g., entering diagnostic and procedure codes). Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings held by the Mental Health Service Line Associate Chief of Staff, RRTP Chief, and facility Director.
