The New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System's (NMVAHCS) Behavioral Health Care Line (BHCL) is looking for 1 Social Worker to join their Military Trauma Treatment Program (MTTP). The Military Trauma Treatment Team is specifically seeking an enthusiastic social worker to provide outpatient evidenced based PTSD treatment for veterans. Please join a caring and exceedingly competent multidisciplinary team. Major duties include, but are not limited to, Provides special attention to patients who meet high risk screening criteria, or whom the treatment team determines needing social work intervention to prevent emotional or physical deterioration, reduce risk and/or vulnerability typically associated with inadequate housing, resources, community supports, or income. Participates in the formulation of psychosocial treatment plans and goals based on the psychosocial assessment and identified needs, issues and problems. Provides consultation to staff on the impact of psychosocial needs and problems on patient functioning and their recovery. Ensures documentation reflects psychosocial diagnoses and procedures utilized. Selects treatment interventions appropriate to the unique needs of each patient and/or family while coordinating his/her activities with the interdisciplinary team.
