The staff psychologist works as a member of the Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (SARRTP) interdisciplinary team within the larger Addictive Disorders Treatment Program (ADTP) service and provides expert clinical services to Veterans with problems related to substance abuse, addictions, and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Announcement extended for additional application input. ***If you are not a Current Permanent Federal Employee, or Past/Current/Upcoming VHA HPT Graduate, apply to Vacancy CBST-11023382-21-LA*** Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Provide expert evidence-based assessment, diagnostic, and intervention services for Veterans with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders in a residential setting; Provide psychological assessment services to a wide range of Veteran populations, across treatment settings, and for a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including cognitive impairment; Provides evidence-based treatment interventions for Veterans with a wide range of problems, including individual and group therapy, family/relationship counseling, and psychoeducation; Provides expert consultation to providers within and outside of mental health to assist in diagnosis and treatment of veterans; Provides psychoeducational and treatment services to families of Veterans with problems related to substance use disorders and comorbid psychiatric conditions; Conducts screenings for cognitive deficits to determine if a referral for a neuropsychological evaluation is needed; Provide training for and coordinate work of psychology technicians and other staff as assigned; Implements, coordinates, monitors, analyzes, interprets, and disseminates a variety of variables and metrics needed for program evaluation and performance as indicated by various accreditation bodies; Oversee the establishment and interpretation of data from program monitors and outcome measures within programs assigned using a data-driven quality assurance process. Performs other related duties as assigned. Additionally, this position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).
