This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Learn more The full time permanent Psychologist serves in the Ukiah, California Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in the Mental Health Service Line of the San Francisco VA Health Care System. A relocation/recruitment incentive may be authorized for a highly qualified applicant. The psychologist's primary assignment will be at the Ukiah Community Based Outpatient Clinic in the Mental Health Clinic, which serves veterans with mental health challenges, including combat and sexual assault-related posttraumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders, anger management, late life depression, serious mental illness, psychiatric illness co-occurring with medical illnesses, traumatic brain injury, and mental health problems associated with homelessness. The incumbent will be involved in assessment and treatment of the complete range of mental health disorders and may supervise trainees in doing so. Major duties include, but are not limited to: Conducts intake evaluations of new referrals. Provides individual/couples psychotherapies. Provides regular patient follow-up, skill building & discharge planning. Consults with other services and locations as needed. Evaluate and diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments.
