The Staff Psychologist is located at the New Jersey Healthcare System. The core role of the PMRS Psychologist is to function as a Rehabilitation Psychologist with a particular emphasis on assessing and treating veterans with Polytrauma issues. Such conditions entail traumatic (and other acquired) brain injuries, musculoskeletal-related and other pain disorders, affective disorders (especially posttraumatic stress disorder & depression), and cognitive dysfunction.
Providing Health Care for Veterans: The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,255 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,074 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.
