Demonstrates the ability to assess the emotional, developmental, educational, and diversionary needs of the hospitalized patient and family. Facilitates medical play, procedural preparation and support, and therapeutic group/individualized times with the patient and families. This position plans and implements programs and services to the needs identified.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Child Life/Child Development, Psychology, Art Therapy or related field.
Must have completed Child Life Internship, 2 years previous experience working with hospitalized and healthy children is preferred
Professional Child Life Certification is required.
