Inpatient Neuro-Rehab Physiatrist

The Sinai Rehabilitation Center, the flagship anchor of the LifeBridge Health Rehabilitation Services Network in Baltimore, MD, is looking for an energetic inpatient acute level neuro-rehabilitation Physiatrist. The position oversees the CARF certified inpatient stroke and general neuro-rehab programs. The expert team of therapists, neuropsychologist, social workers and many CRRN certified nurses staff the state of the art inpatient neuro-rehab unit. Patients are seen in consultation by the neuro-rehab doc in the acute care hospital to determine the optimal rehabilitation level of care. Our longstanding model reflects the PMR Bold continuum of care initiative. Across the LifeBridge Health system, we have a full range of rehabilitation levels of care also staffed by Physiatrists. The position is fully dedicated to consultations in the acute hospital and attending in the rehabilitation hospital. Patients you see in consult become your patients on the rehab unit. There is no outpatient clinic requirement but if there is interest this can be arranged. The applicant must have excellent coordination and communication skills. You will lead the multi-disciplinary team and must understand the best practices of team work. Insuring an excellent patient experience and optimal rehabilitation outcome are priorities. Resident teaching is a requirement as there is a full time resident assigned to this rotation. Sinai Hospital of Baltimore is the sponsoring institution for our PM&R residency program. We have 12 residents, 4 per year. There are 14 Physiatrists in the department deployed across the LifeBridge Health system.
