The Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a full-time BE/BC fellowship-trained Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician for an open position at Penn State Health. We are looking for a motivated team player to join a team with four orthopaedic surgeons, four primary care sports medicine physicians, one physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, one surgical podiatrist, physician assistants and physical therapists. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus in family medicine and sports medicine. Approximately 60% of the physician’s time will be in the shared responsibility of team physician coverage for Pennsylvania State University Division 1 athletics. The remainder of the physician’s time will be focused on a community based family medicine practice. Clinical care will be inclusive of family medicine, sports medicine, non-surgical musculoskeletal care, ultrasound guided injections, and concussion care, for athletes and the community at large.
The successful candidate will join the department’s outpatient practice located in State College, PA. He or she will be a full-time faculty member of the Penn State Health Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation and a joint appointment in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, with privileges at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA and the Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
What we’re seeking:
Medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
BC/BE in Primary Care Sports Medicine
Excellent patient care abilities and interest in teaching as well as participation in clinical research.
