Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Lake Chelan Community Hospital & Clinics (LCCHC) is a 25-bed public district critical access hospital located in Chelan, WA. Chelan is a growing mountain lake rural resort community, home to strong agricultural, vineyard/winery, and tourism industries with lifestyle amenities usually only available in much larger communities. Chelan is located on the shores of one of the most pristine lakes in North America, glacier fed Lake Chelan. LCCHC is currently in the design phase of a new hospital construction project with ground-breaking planned for Spring 2020.
Provides psychiatric and substance use disorder evaluation and treatment appropriate to licensure, including use of medication in accordance with medical staff bylaws, hospital policy, and standards of care for outpatients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides behavioral health patient assessments, evidence-based treatment, education, and prescriptions for outpatients and inpatients.
Provides patients with up-to-date information regarding medications, their possible side effects and counseling options.
Coordinates behavioral health care and prescribed medication information with LCCHC Medical Staff and community medical providers.
Provides psychotherapy to behavioral health outpatients and inpatients.
Orders and reviews vital signs, labs and other diagnostic studies as needed or in consultation with patient’s PCP.
Develops treatment plans, monitors treatment progress and follows up as needed for outpatients and at disposition for inpatients.
Maintains accurate and timely clinical records utilizing appropriate EMR for outpatient and/or inpatient services.
Provides on-call services for inpatients as determined by the Sanctuary Director (shares on-call with two inpatient Sanctuary providers for nights and weekends).
Participates in meetings, in-services and supervisory sessions as required.
Promotes treatment philosophy within inpatient unit.
Assists in providing healthcare services in a competent and fiscally responsible manner to maintain organization evidence-based health.
Participates in development and maintenance of Behavioral Health Integration program.
Facilitates behavioral changes in patients diagnosed with chronic medical conditions.
Supports LCC medical providers by facilitating behavioral health brief interventions for patients in crisis, difficulties with coping, experiencing suicidal ideation, or in need of a medication consult.
Other duties as assigned within reason.
Current licensure in the State of Washington.
Current board certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or an appropriate certifying council as a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner.
Appropriate DEA licensure to include scheduled drugs.
Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program within the past 12 months or provision of high quality outpatient, inpatient, or consultative behavioral health services for at least 15 patients during the past 12 months.
Obtain Buprenorphine Management Waiver preferably prior to hire.

We offer a 24-hour emergency room, surgical center and inpatient services, as well as family medicine and specialist care at Lake Chelan Clinic in downtown Chelan.
Sanctuary at the Lake is a 14 bed inpatient dual diagnosis program located within the hospital.
Integrated behavioral health services are available within our primary care outpatient clinic.
